Right now, hospitality businesses across the UK are facing huge challenges from rising costs, higher wages, increased energy bills and a 20% VAT rate that’s one of the highest in Europe. That’s why chef and publican Tom Kerridge is leading the campaign, calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%. (UKHospitality⁠)

A lower VAT rate would help pubs, restaurants and cafés invest in their teams, protect local jobs and keep serving the communities they love. Many European countries already have lower hospitality VAT rates, helping their businesses thrive. (VAT’s the problem⁠)
