Located in South Craven, in the southwest corner of North Yorkshire. We are a volunteer-led community arts venue at the heart of the local area. We host a programme of events, concerts and theatre taking place in our wonderful proscenium arch theatre space, plus have weekly classes and activities taking place most days. In addition, we have a selection of rooms all available for hire by anyone. Ou

r aim is to provide a community arts venue with something for everyone. Managed by a dedicated team of trustees, we employ a small but dedicated team to ensure the smooth running of the day to day programme of activities and events. Classes, Activities, Concerts and Theatre
We have a vast amount of regular activities, concerts and theatre shows taking place throughout the year. There is something happening most days within the venue. We are always keen to take on and provide further activities and classes. If you see an opening for something that you can provide or wish to make a suggestion, why not get in touch? Building Preservation and Development
The age of our Grade II listed building brings its own set of challenges. In recent years, we have made a number of improvements and alterations to the building in order to provide the facilities our customers expect. The ongoing development of the building must meet the required standards of safety and accessibility whilst also preserving its unique heritage and historic features. A regular programme of routine maintenance by our own team and external contractors ensures Glusburn Community and Arts Centre continues to be structurally sound, safeguarding the provision of an arts-focussed community facility in Craven for years to come.

VOLUNTEERS' WEEK 2026

Did you know? Over the past 12 months, our incredible volunteers have given over 1,600 hours of their time to support our Community and Arts Centre – and we simply couldn’t let that go by without saying a huge THANK YOU 💛

From staffing our weekly Wellbeing Café and other regular drop-in social sessions, to helping deliver more than 35 fantastic events – including live music, theatre, cinema, dance, pantomime and private celebrations – their dedication keeps everything running smoothly.

And it doesn’t stop there…

Behind the scenes, our volunteers are:
✨ Litter picking
🎂 Cake baking
🌿 Gardening
🗂️ Providing office support
🔧 Keeping the building welcoming and running day to day

All of this helps us provide a wonderful safe space for so many people, and a vibrant local events venue for our local community.

To our amazing team of over 50 volunteers – thank you for your energy, your kindness, your reliability, and your belief in what we do. You are the heart of this place, and we truly couldn’t do it without you.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, we’d love to hear from you! Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to be part of something special, there’s a place for you in our volunteer family.

Here’s to community, creativity, and the power of people coming together ❤️

Toyah - Songs & Stories - ON SALE NOW!

Singer, actor, TV host, author, film star and multiple BRIT Award nominee, Toyah has built a remarkable career spanning over 50 years. Bursting onto the scene in 1976, she quickly became one of the most distinctive voices of her generation, working across both music and theatre with appearances at The National Theatre and London’s Royal Court.

Her role in Quadrophenia made her a household name, before she stormed the charts with iconic hits including It’s A Mystery, I Want To Be Free, and Thunder In The Mountains. Her breakthrough album Anthem went gold and earned BRIT Award nominations, cementing her place in British music history.

Now, with a new book on the way, Toyah is hitting the road for an intimate UK tour - a rare chance to hear the stories behind the songs, interspersed with live performances of fan favourites.
Joined by two guitarists, this will be an up-close, personal evening with one of the UK’s most enduring and influential artists.

One of the nicest things about having a resident choir here at Glusburn is seeing it grow into something truly community-led…

Sing Out! South Craven Community Choir Concert is a celebration of exactly that.

A full evening of music performed by local singers, bringing together rich three- and four-part harmonies, alongside solo and ensemble moments that showcase the individual talent within the group.

It’s familiar songs, shared voices, and a room full of people connected through music.
