Tango in Glasgow

This September gets going with an Alt Tango Tea Dance on Sunday 6th. Later in the month the month there's the big excitement of the Paisley International Tango Festival weekend , 25 to 27th. In between, Tango Bar is each Wednesday evening, and TangoMac will be on each Saturday EXCEPT the 26th (when we'll all be in Paisley). For new dancers, there are blocks of beginner classes starting in Glasgow and in Paisley this month. Check on the Tango in Glasgow website for links to find out more details.

August gets off to a good start with a Paisley Milonga on Saturday 1st. At the end of the month Glasgow Tango’s special Summer Ball featuring Jenny and Ricardo Oria is on 29th. In between, there’s TangoMac each Saturday afternoon, extended Monday practicas starting at 7 pm and Tango Bar at Bacchus each Wednesday evening. Check tangoglasgow.org for more details.

Tango treats this July include the Paisley Milonga on the 4th, and a special afternoon of live music and dancing with Garua Tango Club on Sunday 26th. Look out for further details. Regular events are on too; Tango Bar on Wednesday evenings, TangoMac on Saturday afternoons and the Monday evening practica. Let's dance our way through the summer! Can you believe it is already June? This month Cacu Lucero is at GTCollective on Mon 8th. NB TangoMac is at a different venue (St Andrew's East, Dennistoun) on Sat 13th. Paisley Tango also have a special World Cup Milonga on Sat 13th. Rebel tango have a practilonga on Fri 19th. Glasgow Tango's Midsummer Milonga is on Sat 20th - please book by 13th as the venue (Glasgow Art Club) need numbers for catering. Practica de los Angeles is Sunday 21st. Tango Bar is at Bacchus each Wednesday evening, and TangoMac is back at Kelvin West on 20th and 27th.

May gets off to a busy start with Rebel Tango’s May Day Milonga and Garua Tango Club’s concert at RCS both on Friday 1st. Later in the month, Paisley Tango’s Milonga is on the 16th, Alt Tango Tea Dance on 17th, and Practica de Los Angeles is on the 24th. Tango Bar, TangoMac and the Monday Practica all continue weekly.
