Today, our Irish Centre proudly welcomes Glasgow Pride.
We know what it means to be treated as less than. We know what prejudice looks like, we know what it’s like to have your identity questioned, your culture mocked, and your place in society challenged. The Irish in Scotland carried that burden for generations.
That’s exactly why our doors are open today, because equality isn’t selective. Dignity isn’t conditional. And solidarity means standing with people when others won’t.
We’re proud of our Irish heritage. We’re proud of Glasgow. And today we’re proud to welcome every member of our LGBTQ+ community through our doors.
Our history taught us never to become what others once were to us.
Everyone is welcome at Grace’s.
And what a day it was.
Happy Pride, Glasgow.
