A small but mighty one this week! Something for everyone so letβs go into as much detail as possible! Seeing as itβs kind of spring letβs start with the Maibock from Bavarian powerhouse Ayinger, coming in at 6.9% this seasonal lager is perfect as the weather warms up, full bodied maltiness with a dry finish and notes of green apple, honey and herbal hop bitterness.
We move to Belgium next with Brasserie DuPontβs Fomo, a brand new gluten free beer. With brewing processes continuing to evolve, itβs becoming easier and easier to produce high quality beer whilst reducing the amount of gluten making it more accessible for everyone. The beer is golden/blonde and has a dry but well balanced body to it with DuPont signature yeast character, incredibly refreshing and not to be missed!
Next over to Denmark and To ΓΈl and Bramble Berry, a fruited kettle sour made with blackberries and raspberries, expect a refreshingly tart beer with big berry flavours and coming in at 5% its a smashing wee train beer!
Now something a little closer to home, Otherworld White Oak. I want to say this is version 3 or 4 of this beer? And I cannot to try this one. A strong, bitter IPA aged for 4 months in Sherry butts add light woody notes of vanilla & coconut, backed up with Strata hops for bright flavours of lemongrass, citrus and a dash of pine. We will also be seeing Otherworld beers hitting our taps before the month is out, with a little tap takeover, more info to come shortly!
Now adding to our ever growing Alcohol free selection, weβve got Chouffe Cherry 0.0%, the same cherry flavour with none of the alcohol, cherry juice in a glass! And La Trappe Nillis 0.0% the first ever Alcohol free Trappist ale, those with a keen eye will know weβve had it before, but we loved it so much we thought we would shout about it some more!
And finally! Seeing as we had a free line letβs hook up a new beer as well. A collaboration between Northern Monk, Glasshouse, Garage, Messorem, Indie Hops & Loughran Brewers Select we have a Double Dry Hopped IPA, packed with orange, peach, mango and passionfruit flavours, itβs very smashable at 6.5%!
