⭐ MEET THE NORTH STAR TEAM ⭐

North Star Spirits is now a team of 10+ super folks - some keeping things moving in the office, some bottling the good stuff, and some looking after the important business of casks, casks and more casks in the warehouse.

👋 Meet Sammy! (Cj Timwa)

🌴Sammy and Iain actually go back a few decades, when they worked together in the restaurant trade - Iain was the manager and Sammy was the chef.

🪇Fast-forward a few years (quite a few 😬) and Sammy is still cooking up a storm… only these days it’s in the North Star warehouse, making sure our casks are moved, handled and stored safely.

Name: Sammy🥃
Position: Warehouse Operator
Favourite tune: Shatta Wale – Freedom
Favourite food: Jollof rice
Favourite wh**ky: North Star Spirits 11 Year Old Clynelish — a vatting of two hogsheads

Happy Birthday, Katie! 🥳🎂

For those who haven’t met her yet, Katie is our shiny new Office Manager who joined us a wee while ago — and somehow, in no time at all, has managed to get all our processes and systems running like clockwork.

More importantly, she’s an absolute pleasure to have around. I genuinely can’t remember how we managed before her!

Everyone needs a Katie in their life — we’re just very lucky that this one works at North Star. ⭐️

Happy Birthday, Katie! Hope you have a brilliant day — and thanks for keeping us all in order! 🥃🎉

WE’VE FINALLY LOST THE PLOT & IS THIS EVEN ALLOWED?

Campbeltown malts have ended up in an amaretto at 50.2%

CAMPBELTOWN, SCOTLAND — In a development that wh**ky traditionalists have described as “deeply concerning” and everyone else as “get the glasses oot,” a new Amaretto has been created containing Campbeltown malts.

Because taking Scotland’s most historic wh**ky region — a place of sea air, peat smoke, old warehouses and generations of serious wh**ky-making — and firing the whole lot into a gloriously almondy Italian-style liqueur was an idea nobody had the good sense to stop.

The result is CAMPBELTOWN SOOP, an Amaretto with so much Campbeltown character in it that opening the bottle may cause distant sounds of well-played bagpipes, angry seagulls and an elderly hipster muttering about how wh**ky was better before everything had a website.

Inside is a magnificent gathering of Campbeltown malt character: maritime saltiness, fruit, smoke, oak, spice and enough wh**ky heritage to make the bottle technically eligible for its own local history society.

Then comes the Amaretto….

Sweet. Nutty. Rich. Completely shameless.

It’s Scotland meeting Italy in circumstances neither country’s government officially approved.

But more importantly, it’s delicious.

The first sip delivers rich almond sweetness and warming fruit before the Campbeltown malts swagger through the door wearing muddy boots. Expect layers of malt, coastal salinity, spice, dried fruit, gentle smoke and that unmistakable Campbeltown trunk of funk.

It is sophisticated enough for a crystal tumbler, but Scottish enough that nobody will judge you for drinking it in the kitchen while still wearing your jacket.

Serve it neat. Pour it over ice. Put it in an outrageous cocktail. Pour it over pudding.

A SPOKESPERSON WHO SHOULD PROBABLY REMAIN NAMELESS SAID:
“This is nuts - almonds to be precise”

CAMPBELTOWN SOOP — Campbeltown malts. One bottle. Absolutely nae restraint.

Slàinte. Or salute. We’re honestly not sure anymore.

Coming soon....

Expect to pay about £28 in the UK x

The Speyside Connection 10 Year Old Blended Malt

The fourth bottling in our regional blended malts series has arrived to show off the best of Speyside.

The youngest wh**ky in the mix is 10-year-old first fill oloroso Speyside single malt.

Other components include 20-year-old Tamdhu and 35-year-old Macallan “

“Bold yet harmonious, The Speyside Connection release offers inviting aromas of sultanas, honeyed toffee, cinnamon and polished oak. Carefully matured in a sherry hogshead and butts, it captures the luxurious texture, vibrant fruit and lingering warmth that define expertly sherry-matured Scotch…”
