The Fraser Family who own the Oak Tree Inn were born and raised on the East Side of Loch Lomond. They built The Oak Tree Inn in 1997 using slate from local quarries to create a building that fits beautifully into the picturesque loch side village of Balmaha. Over the years, Sandy and Lucy Fraser have been joined in the business by all of their children and have also provided employment to many loc

al people. Passionate about Loch Lomond, they work closely with the National Park, Love Loch Lomond and The Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs on initiatives to improve tourism and conservation. We were delighted to receive the award for Best Pet-Friendly Hotel in the country at the recent Prestige Scottish Hotel Awards.

We only made the decision to become pet-friendly a few short years ago, which makes this recognition even more special to us.

We’re blessed to have so many beautiful walks right on our doorstep, which no doubt helped our case 🐾🐾

As our busy season approaches, we are looking for friendly, hard-working individuals to join our excellent team.

We are recruiting for all departments, including restaurant, bar, kitchen, housekeeping and St Mocha Coffee Shop.

Our Recruitment Day will be held on Saturday 28th February at The Oak Tree Inn. Drop in anytime between 10am and 2pm, and bring your CV if you have one. All are welcome!

Did you know we roast our own coffee right here in Balmaha?

The team behind Loch Lomond Coffee Co. ethically source coffee from all over the world, always with a focus on quality and sustainability. The coffee is roasted regularly in small batches, to be enjoyed at the optimal moment.

After roasting, any spent coffee is then used in our biomass heating system to help power much of the site. Circular economy in full flow!
