RAER Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Today is the day!
Every bottle is embossed with the RAER Mountain Line wrapping round the bottle with a copper coin of the RAER Couple, which represents the RAER View. The RAER View was the concept that started it all. A photo series of a man and a woman looking out at a beautiful, RARE, landscape, wearing kilts, when a gust of wind would gently lift up their kilts revealing both of their (for lack of a better word), bare arses (their REARS). And that is where RAER came from. As it was a RAER view of their REAR view. Raer spelt backwards is Rear.
Also embossed on each bottle is 6 strands of barley. All different from one another. That is because each family member was asked to draw their own unique, RAER, piece of barley, to represent the independence of our distillery, and to appreciate that we are one of the few Scottish owned and ran distilleryâs in Scotland.
And lastly, a small hole cut out in the centre of the label, showing its own RAER View, and a glimpse of what is to come next for Jackton Distillery.
All of this was included on our signature swoosh bottle, the same one from our core range. This bottle has always represented what we are to achieve. Which is a full ecological cycle. From growing our own barley, malting, distilling, bonding, bottling, the spent grain going back to the farm to feed the animals for fertiliser, and for the process to repeat itself all over again.
This bottle was designed from the heart. To make something that represented us for the family that we are. Which we are so proud to share with you.
