This is one of those shoots that will just stay with you for a while.

I was contacted Gill in June about this wee guy.
Blue had just been diagnosed with a tumour, and the family didn’t know how long left they had with him.

It was a tug on the on the old heartstrings. And I had to do the shoot.

When I met blue, you wouldn’t have been able to tell he wasn’t well. Bouncing about loving life and he was definitely taking advantage of me and getting treats. He just seemed like a special boy.

I got a message last week saying that he had crossed the rainbow bridge.

It was honestly such an honour and pleasure to capture these images with his wee personality for them.

Old dogs melt my heart. And one with a personality this big just floors me.

I was in awe watching him perform on Saturday.
Just unreal.

These are some shots I got of him at the all day event at the weekend.
Tough conditions to shoot. 1 main light source, so it was time to bump that iso way up and try to use the dark and shadow to my advantage.

There’s even a couple of images in here taken on my trusty Nikon D800, still holding its own against the newer models

Its international dog day!!!

And I would like you all to meet Graham aka sir sniffalot.

I met this distinguished gentleman when I was photographing the Stirling Highland Games.

I LOVE a Bassett hound, so I noticed him as soon as walked through the gates for the games. So when I had time. I went looking for him, I just had to get a photo of him.

And I f**kin love that his name is Graham. Human names on dogs are a deeelight!
