The Falcon Inn is within the historic village of Fotheringhay, famous for bearing the scars of a former castle where Mary, Queen of Scots met her premature death in 1587. The pub overlooks the fifteenth century Church of St Mary & All Saints on the river Nene.

It’s a time for celebration! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to say that our very own Eddie has officially passed his WSET Level 1 Award in Wines! 🥂

Eddie has become a fundamental part of the team here at The Falcon, and it’s great to see him continuing to build his knowledge, confidence and understanding of w**e.

It also means there’s now another knowledgeable pair of hands on the floor to help you choose the perfect bottle to go with your meal! 🍷

And of course, there was only one appropriate way to celebrate… with a nice glass of w**e. 😉 Here Eddie is pictured with one of his favourites from our list ‘Coterie’ Cabernet franc/Malbec 🍷

Congratulations Eddie — very well deserved! Zak and I are so proud of you and can’t wait to see the next steps in your w**e journey!
