The Ball & Wicket is a charming Chef & Brewer countryside pub in the idyllic hamlet of Holt Pound on the outskirts of Farnham. Named in tribute to local cricket heritage, you’ll find us on a former pitch known as “The Oval”, where Surrey once played. Our family-friendly pub is ideal after a peaceful walk through Alice Holt Forest, with dog-friendly seating in our beer garden. We offer free Wi-Fi, disabled facilities and coach parking, along with a comprehensive menu and a selection of cask ales. Join us for a delicious lunch or hearty dinner, with breakfast, brunch favourites and our traditional Sunday roast also on offer.

🚨 DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE SUNDAY ROASTS THIS WEEKEND. 🚨

Our kitchen will still be OPEN for our usual food service including the Main Menu and the Seafood Festival menu, that is running throughout this month, but all roasts and their accompanying sides will be unfortunately unavailable.

We apologise for the disappointment and appreciate your understanding of this sudden decision the kitchen and ourselves have had to make.

But we still continue to look forward to welcoming you in this weekend, with our local DJ Phil setting the atmosphere with his variety of musical flavours! 🎶

There are still plenty of tables available for tonight's live music event here at The Ball and Wicket, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support; a charity very close to our hearts.

📆 Join us at The Ball and Wicket on Friday 24th July for a fantastic evening of live entertainment, all while supporting a great cause.

🎤 The wonderfully talented Paul Michael is back performing a mixture of powerful opera favourites alongside some modern-day hits, creating an atmosphere for all ages to come and enjoy.

💚 Come along and enjoy a great night and help us raise as much money for Macmillan Cancer Support as we can.

📞 Booking will be recommended for a restaurant table so call us up to book yourselves a table or pop in and have a friendly chat with our staff to get yourselves the best seat in the house for the night!

🍽️ Why not make a whole evening of it? Our full food menu will be available throughout the day as well as through the performance so book yourselves a table, enjoy a delicious meal and settle in for an amazing evening as we raise money for charity.

🍺 Our bar area will be open, too, to come and enjoy a pint of your favourite beverage and enjoy an evening full of entertainment.
