The Diggers Rest The Digger's Rest is a traditional thatched village pub in the middle of the pretty east Devon villa
(266)

Boasting a warm, relaxing atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a drink with friends, and something from the delicious home-cooked menu available throughout the day. We are particularly proud of our food which is freshly prepared and locally sourced. The menu changes to reflect seasonal availability and there is a Specials Board where we can offer rarer treats. We’re family friendly, including the four-legged members, and can promise that whatever the reason for your visit, Dan, Arwen and the team will make you feel welcome and at home. A disabled access ramp is available - please ask at the bar or ring ahead.

OUR BRAND NEW AUTUMN MENU.

The evenings are drawing in, the shorts and flip flops have been returned to the wardrobe & we’re all starting to look cautiously at the central heating thermostat….. So, to cheer everybody up, we thought you’d all like some new dishes to come and enjoy.

We have thought long and hard about what to bring you & we are absolutely thrilled with the final results. Alongside a range of classic pub favourites, we have crafted a number of high quality restaurant dishes to tempt your tastebuds.

Add to that a beautiful selection of small plates & a dessert menu that I still struggle to choose a favourite from ( I’ve tried them all & they’re all incredible ) and there you have it.

A fantastic new menu for a fantastic new look Diggers Rest.

To book, just go to www.thediggersrest.co.uk , hop onto Google, or call us on 01392 790607.

We genuinely hope you’ll love it as much as we do & look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Much love, as always

Team Diggers xx

WOW !!!!!!

Well, I’m not quite sure how to put this into words properly, but I’ll give it a go.

Here at The Diggers Rest, we have just won a highly coveted Tripadvisor Travellers Choice award for our restaurant.

This means that Tripadvisor believe our beautiful little pub / restaurant, tucked away in the even more beautiful, sleepy little village of Woodbury Salterton, is placed in the top 10% of restaurants IN THE WORLD…..

We genuinely cannot believe that we have been awarded this incredible accolade & the biggest thank you imaginable goes out to each and every one of our guests for giving the feedback that has lead to today.

Without you all, our business is nothing & everybody here at The Diggers would just like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The long days, the aching feet & the utter exhaustion have all just faded away upon opening today’s post & we could not be any more proud !!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

We may even raise a celebratory glass to you all later on this evening…. After service, obviously.

Once again, from every member of our incredible little team….. Thank you so much.

Much love
