Great pints on draught, food coming out of the kitchen and a cracking night of live music from The Red Dirt Band.

Street food Wednesdays have landed at The Beer Engine 🌶️🍜🍺

A cracking evening with Max & Mike’s Street Food serving their Asian menu right outside the pub.

Roast duck & egg fried rice, Thai green curry, crispy pork belly, Korean BBQ brisket burgers and plenty more — all washed down with a few pints inside The Beer Engine.

Thanks to everyone who came along, and to Max & Mike’s for joining us.

This is exactly what we’d like Wednesday evenings at The Beer Engine to become — great street food, good beer and something a little different each week.

We also have a fresh batch of takeaway sausages available. Just ask at the bar.

The pub is open 7 days a week for beer. We serve food on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Given the small workforce we have here at The Beer Engine and the fact that everyone deserves some time to relax, holiday, see family and generally recharge. We have made the decision to close the kitchen for the month of August.

The pub will remain open everyday for beer and drinks. Food service will resume on Thursday 10th September.

Thank you very much for your understanding and continued support and custom. 🙏

This is the last week for a while that you will be able to purchase takeaway sausages.

We have a big batch of fresh Piston Bitter sausages expertly made for us by wfchinnsausagecompany.

They are in slightly larger packs, so you can put some in the freezer for your summer bbqs. They will be on sale all this week.

Also, Norm from Summerskills Brewery has been busy bottling for us. So we have

Rail Ale, ACE Pale Ale and Piston Bitter available in bottles.
