Gastro Pub The Old School Inn, Epworth is a Country Pub crammed with heritage and sense of identity.
(512)

A stones throw away from the main village the Old Victorian School has been recently converted into a pub and kitchen, with large secure garden and stacks of style. As local farmers; we have striven to achieve a ‘home from home’ ambience where all our customers feel at ease, whether having bar snacks and drinks early doors in wellies or dressed up for a big night out at the weekend. We want to achieve an everyday atmosphere, effortless and easy. Whether you are joining us for a drink or for food, all areas offer the relaxed ambience to take stock on life and relax. Unfortunately we are not serving food at the moment but are very keen to re-open our kitchen soon.

Our new menu is going down a treat at The Old School Inn! 🙌

Two dishes already proving firm favourites are our Trio of Game and Curried Lamb en Croûte.

Our previous curried lamb post clocked up a mammoth 32,000 views 👀 With that much interest, we just had to give it a place on the main menus

Thank you to everyone who’s joined us and shared such lovely feedback.

Our entry for Love Epworth's scarecrow competition is up outside the pub: two farming brothers enjoying a pint, wondering where their TV deal is!

We could ask which scarecrow looks like which brother... but that's probably not a question we should put on social media 🙈

A huge thank-you to the Love Epworth volunteers for putting this trail together and helping to make Epworth such a wonderful community.

We're number 19 on the map. Come and see everyone's creations and remember to vote for your favourite 🤩

Our new menus are here 🍂

There’s plenty to look forward to, from our Trio of Game and comforting pub favourites to small plates, pizzas and something sweet to finish.

We’re open for lunch today from 12. Choose three small plates for £27, or enjoy two courses for £16 — starter and main, or main and pudding.

To book a table, please email [email protected].

🍻 WE’RE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED BAR STAFF 🍻

We’re looking for friendly, experienced people to join our team at The Old School Inn.

Our priority is finding people who are confident behind the bar, although experience of food service would also be a real advantage.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous bar experience
• Can work confidently and use their own initiative
• Is proactive and willing to get stuck in
• Provides genuinely great customer service
• Is reliable and available for evening and weekend shifts
• Will care about The Old School Inn and our customers as much as we do

At present, we have casual, as-and-when shifts available, with the possibility of more regular hours becoming available in the future.

If this sounds like you, please email us and tell us a little about yourself and your experience:

It’s time to wish our lovely Millie good luck as she heads off to Manchester to study fashion! 👗✨

Millie has been part of The Old School Inn for years, and we’ve loved watching her grow into the fabulous young woman she is today. She always brought a smile to work and loved a good chatter!

We’ll miss you, Millie, but we’re hoping uni holidays will bring you back for the odd shift. We’re not quite ready to give you up completely!

Please join us in wishing Millie an amazing time at uni. Leave her a message below — and remember, you might just be getting served by a future fashion designer or Sewing Bee star! 🧵
