🌿💧 Did you know that Saughton Park is Edinburgh’s first green-powered park?
The park’s innovative micro-hydro scheme uses an Archimedes Screw Turbine to generate renewable energy from the Water of Leith. That clean energy helps power the park’s buildings, including our café! ☕⚡
Even better, the scheme can prevent around 72 tonnes of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere every year. Pretty cool, right? 🌍💚
Next time you’re out enjoying the park, why not pop into our hydro-powered café for a coffee, cake, or lunch and see sustainable energy in action.

🍂 A HUGE weekend in the park! 🍂
Looking for weekend plans? There is so much happening right on our doorstep! Here is what’s on:
🌸 The Caley Autumn Show - Saturday 5th Sept: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and Sunday 6th Sept: 10:30 am – 3:30 pm. Come see some incredible autumn blooms and local displays!
💃 Argentine Tango at the Bandstand -Saturday 5th Sept: 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm.
Watch the dancers or soak up the music and atmosphere!

If you’re heading down to the park for the show or the tango, make sure to pop into our café. We are the perfect spot to take a wee rest, and treat yourself to a nice hot drink. ☕🍰

✨Today we are saying goodbye to Emily, who has been a fantastic member of our cafe team. Emily is off on an exciting adventure and will be studying in London.
