Founded in the 1900’s, “The Mid” has grown into a warm, vibrant social hub known for a friendly atmosphere and exceptional ale. The "Mid" prides itself on maintaining the highest quality products and as a result, has received the Sunderland and South Tyneside Campaign for Real Ale "Club of the Year" award for the third consecutive year. RA LocAle outlet for their products, which supports local industy, economy and employment as well as supporting environmental initiatives. Also featured on tap are award winning national cask ales, seasonal and speciality real ales and bright beers and lagers at prices that are bound to attract! The club boasts a full size snooker table as well as being part of the North East Snooker League. There is a darts area and domino boards. All major football and sporting events shown on big screens in full HD as well as Sunderland and Newcastle matches (see updates for fixtures and more details). We have a weekly snowball draw for members with a maximum prize of up to £1000! We are a male-only key club but we always welcome guests and new members! The club is easy accessible by bus with the 30, 9, 9A and 558 stopping nearby. Also East Boldon Metro station is around 10 minutes walk.
