🏆 TWO BEERS IN THE UK FINALS — AND BRONZE FOR TEMPTATION! 🥉

We’re absolutely chuffed! Both Magus and Temptation reached the UK best b**r finals, with our 10% Temptation Imperial Stout taking bronze.

Getting there is no small achievement. B**rs must be nominated by a local branch and progress through rounds of tasting panels and judging to earn their place in the national finals. These b**rs have proved themselves every step of the way, against competition from across the whole UK.

Those who’ve enjoyed Temptation already know what a special b**r it is. Seeing it earn this recognition makes us incredibly proud — and having Magus alongside it as a national finalist gives us twice the reason to celebrate! 🍻

For a small independent Durham brewery, this means a huge amount. Thank you to our brilliant team and everyone who supports us, buys our b**r and spreads the word. 💚

An old favourite with a fresh new look! 🍺

St Cuthbert, our popular 6.5% IPA, has been bottled this week. We’ve given it a new look and a little recipe tweak, while keeping the character that’s made it a favourite over the years.

Golden and aromatic, it brings bold citrus and orange notes, with English, American and Czech hops giving a clean, peachy bitterness that never overpowers.

We’re proud to keep bottle conditioning alive. Live yeast allows the b**r to continue maturing in the bottle, developing its flavour while retaining its full body and character. It takes more time, care and patience, but we believe you can taste the difference—and that makes it worth doing.

And the Legend ?

When Viking raids forced the monks to flee Lindisfarne, they carried St Cuthbert’s remains to safety. Their journey eventually brought him to Durham, where he rests in the Cathedral today. A North East story behind a North East legend :
