We are very proud to be hosting this incredible group!

Dorchester Talk Club is thrilled to announce that we have finally found a new home! From October onwards we will be meeting in The Casterbridge Room at The King's Arms on High East Street. We’ll be meeting every two weeks, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, in a completely private space all to ourselves. Every man over 18 is welcome to drop by. We start at 7pm. First meeting is 6th October. Come and share whats on your mind.

Tickets are still available for a number of tours and guided walks this Sunday, including 'Dorchester Old & New' with Steve Wallis.

Buildings vanish, streets shift, but history leaves clues. Join Dorset Council’s Senior Archaeologist and local author Steve Wallis for a fascinating "then and now" journey through Dorchester.

The guided walk kicks off at the historic King’s Arms with talk that utilises archival photos to reveal the dramatic (and sometimes surprising) ways the town has changed over the last century. From there, you’ll head out onto the streets to compare those historic images directly with the modern town centre.

As a senior archaeologist and author of a number of history books, Steve will also peel back the layers even further, uncovering the hidden Roman Durnovaria history hidden right beneath the 20th-century paving stones. Perfect for locals who want to know more about the town, and visitors wanting a true expert's perspective.
