I took over The Flying Childers April 2019 following Marstons purchase & refurb. I was
familiar with the checkered history of the pub so new what I was getting into. It was just
before Easter weekend....what
timing! And it kicked off in the
garden....of course it did! The
first of a few that year, but I
soon made it clear and set out
my expectations if you wanted
to drink in the Childers.
Just under a year later Covid came & we lost 2 years! But when we returned to some
normality, so did The Flying
Childers community making the pub great, celebrating 50
years. What an amazing day
that was ❤️
I have met some absolutely lovely people during the last 7 years, & unfortunately I have met some bloody awful ones aswell....fortunately they came
few & far between. I have worked with some amazing
staff & am proud of the team I
will be handing over tomorrow. I have hosted wakes & said
goodbye to many dear
customers who will always
hold a place in my thoughts, and hosted some wonderfull birthdays & family celebrations, but now it's time for me to hand over the keys & move in to my next venture.
