Are you ready? The England World Cup 2026 victory campaign kicks off tomorrow.

Lots of people have asked about tickets. We are going to start things the way we always have done. Tickets won't be needed initially but as and when we implement a ticket policy it will be prioritised to those that have been in for the other England games during the tournament.

The big screen will be out tomorrow and we are ready to go to cheer England on and bring football home again.

The Crossbar is Chellaston's home of football so watch it all with us

Reminder again that tonight is our quiz night. Come along and join in the fun, it is a great time whether you are a serious quizzer or you just like a bit of fun. There are questions for absolutely everybody so bring the family or just play on your own.

Cricket also returns to Chellaston Park today with Chellaston CC 1st taking on Spondon at 1pm. A dry day is forecasted so make the most of it.

A reminder that tomorrow is our quiz night Saturday for June. Speedquizzing is a brilliant quiz played on any phone or device with questions for absolutely everyone, prizes to be won and lots of fun to be had.

It is really easy so come along and give it a try. You can play as a team, in a pair or even on your own.

Unbelievable darts from John earlier and great fun having a 6 person game of Shanghai.

It was so much fun that we have decided to introduce Shanghai Saturdays. Small entry fee and then prize money to be won. The more the merrier so watch this space

If you don't know the rules yet we can show you but it is a multi player game and lots of fun for all

We are pleased to introduce you to James, our new Bar Manager. It has been a long path to finding our next Bar Manager and making sure we find the right person to not only get on with our team but also to lead and continue to raise the standards for all of you.

James is local and both he and his family have been regular visitors to The Crossbar over the years. This was really important for us as we looked for someone to really care about the place The Crossbar has in the community and for all of you.

It has been a busy start for James with a tournament weekend but he has come through it well and is thoroughly enjoying getting to know as many of you as possible.

Please do introduce yourselves to him when you are next in and he will do his best to get to know you and remember everyone.

We hope this is another key step for The Crossbar to keep growing and being a valued part of Chellaston.

A little reminder than there isn't any cricket this weekend because tomorrow is the start of the AFC Chellaston football tournaments.

We remain open across the weekend and everyone is still welcome.

A couple of fresh ales have just gone on so we are stocked up and ready for you for the weekend. Both from Woodforde's Brewery we have the ever popular Bure Gold and also Phoenix, a 4.2% modern IPA. The only good things to have ever come out of Norfolk.

Chellaston Park really does throw up some beautiful sights and views.

Last night everyone was treated to a double rainbow over the courts. It is so good to see so many people of all ages enjoying the facilities and even better with a view like that. Thanks to Neil for sending us this one.

This weekend will see the first AFC Chellaston football tournaments for 2026 and that really is the park at it's most vibrant.

Reminder, that we are open today 11-2pm for our cafe menu. Come and grab a lovely hot lunch or a coffee and cake.
