The World cup kicks off in just over a week with 48 clubs aiming for the bragging rights. We're running a sweepstake and entries (blind draw) are available from this evening. And just so that those who are unfortunate enough to draw a country who could be described as 'just happy to be there' will still have a chance to be a cash winner as we're even giving a prize to the team with the worst goal difference at the end of the group stage!
Wales may not be represented but fellow Celts Scotland are there and we wish them well. There'll be lots of special things happening on the occasions of both England and Scotland games including special cut-price suppers! It's yet another glorious day of sunshine, the kitchen is open (12.30 to 2.30 and again from 5.30 to 8.30), the fridges are stocked and the beers are cold. PLUS Its the champions league final at 5pm when it's PSG vs ARSENAL showing live on our screens.
We've still got a few places left for Sunday lunches tomorrow (just call 01745 607031 to reserve your table).
Next week sees the start of our mini-refurb in readiness for the forthcoming world-cup, as well as the start of our kitchen upgrade so that we can serve serve more of you - faster!
Our curry night is returning soon (watch this space for details) as well as some other great events.

A big shout out to all those taking part in Denbigh's 30th annual three-legged race tomorrow and wishing you all the very best of luck!
To make sure we are able to refuel the participants when they stop by, we will be ending Sunday lunch service earlier tomorrow, so it is more important than ever that you book ahead if wanting to dine with us.
Lots more to tell you about too, but more on that later.
