We're all decorated and looking forward to welcoming you to our Halloween party tomorrow 🕺

From 4pm until around 6pm, why not bring the kids in for a little Trick or Treating? Then come back later for an evening of fun, dancing, shots, party games and kara-ooooooo-ke.

We'll be back to normal on Sunday serving our roasts from midday to 4pm, followed by music from the rather lovely Kelvin Pratt.

🚨🚨🚨 This weekend at the Sportsman! 🚨🚨🚨

Come along and join our fun quiz, kicking off from 8.15pm on Friday. All are welcome- a range of different themed rounds plus picture quiz, music and Name the Year. Healthy competition and laughs guaranteed 😊

Saturday night is karaoke night, from 8.30pm. Again, everyone is welcome- come and impress us with your talent, enthusiasm or both 🎤

Just a few tables remaining for roasts on Sunday (serving from midday to 4pm)- give us a call to book and avoid disappointment. Followed by music from the lovely Charlie Heard, 4pm to 6pm.

Kitchen opening hours: midday to 3pm then 5pm to 6.45pm on Friday; midday to 3pm ONLY on Saturday; and 12 - 4 on Sunday.

⚠️ This weekend's events ⚠️

Huge thanks to last night's intrepid quiz teams- we had a ball! Congratulations to the Cricketers on your win, and commiserations to the gallant 'non-winners' (there are, of course, no losers in this game!). More quizzing fun next Friday 🤔

We're open for food until 8pm tonight- last kitchen orders at 7.45 please. Then we'll be singing our hearts out at karaoke- do join us to sing along, add backing vocals, take the spotlight yourselves, or just enjoy a few drinks serenaded by your fellow drinkers.

Tomorrow- well of course we'll be serving more of our delicious roasts, from 12 to 4. We're down to our last few places, so give us a shout if you'd like to secure one of our remaining tables.

After lunch, we're delighted to welcome back Soloist/Laura Stoneman , one half of one of our favourite duos, Keepsake Lily, from 4pm. Come along for a boogie to end your weekend in style!

Huge thanks to Dave and the team at Housemartins Sweeps & Installs for cleaning our chimney and servicing our burner ahead of the Winter months. It looks great- as good as new- and we can't wait to bring some warmth and cosiness back when the nights start drawing in. They're also great value for money! 🕺💃 Coming up this weekend! 💃🕺

We'll be hosting our Friday quiz again this week, from 8.15pm. Free to enter and just for fun- come and exercise that grey matter!

Saturday sees another fun karaoke night from 8.30pm. Please note our new Saturday kitchen hours- we're serving from midday to 3pm, and again from 5pm to 8pm, so why not make a night of it?

We're serving our roasts on Sunday from 12 to 4pm, with entertainment from the brilliant Sammy Herbie and Twice the Spice 35, kicking off at 4pm. With a high energy set of party tunes and DJ set, singing and dancing is guaranteed- come and join the fun!

Just a few tweaks as the evenings start to draw in- we're not reinventing the wheel here, just adapting to include a few more hearty, warming options including tasty Cornish pasties and a home-made soup of the day.

Our kitchen opening hours are as below:

Monday -Thursday 12.00 - 3.00pm
Friday 12.00 - 3.00pm and 5.00 - 7.00pm (last food orders at 6.45pm)
Saturday 12.00 - 3.00pm and 5.00 - 8.00pm
Sunday 12.00 - 4.00pm

Group bookings can be catered for outside of these times- simply contact us to discuss your requirements.

Senior discounts available on our 'Sportsman Classics', Monday to Thursday lunchtimes. Pre- booking is always advised!
