🚨🚨🚨 This weekend at the Sportsman 🚨🚨🚨

We've got another cracking weekend in store for you!

Starring tomorrow, Friday, with our regular evening quiz from 8.30pm. Make a night of it with a spot of dinner beforehand- the kitchen's open from 12 to 3 and again from 5 to 6.45 (advance booking strongly recommended).

Wishing the intrepid jumpers all the very best on Saturday morning, as they leap out of a plane in aid of Brain Tumour Research. Our kitchen is closed on Saturday as we're prepping our buffet for Sue 's big birthday bash. Join us, and Sue, from 7pm with a party set from the brilliant Charlie, followed by karaoke into the night.

We have a couple of tables still available for Roasts and lunch on Sunday, but again, would strongly advise you to book ahead if you would like a guaranteed spot. Serving from midday to 4, this week we're joined by the fabulous Jay Deeh from 4pm, to sing the weekend out in style.

🎶🎶🎶 This weekend at the Sportsman! 🎶🎶🎶

Eyes down, ears open- it's the return of Rock n Roll Bingo, this Friday from 8.30pm. £1 per game, with cash prizes and lots of singalong fun on offer. Pre-booking is highly recommended- just message or give us a call if you'd like to join us. We're serving food until 6.45, so again, please do reserve your table to avoid disappointment.

Saturday sees another packed karaoke session, from 8.30pm. We've bedded in our new system and it's sounding brilliant, so why not come along and give it a whirl? Food served midday to 6pm.

Finally, we're serving lunches again on Sunday from midday to 4pm. Prebooking is essential to avoid disappointment- last week was a sell-out 😎

To top off the day, we're delighted to welcome back Mixed Emotions with a high energy set of all your favourites, from 4pm to 6pm. Bring your dancing feet, and see the weekend out in style!

🚨🚨🚨 SOLD OUT!!! 🚨🚨🚨

We are fully booked for Sunday lunches tomorrow, and will be unable to accept any walk-in groups. We've sadly had to turn down a few in recent weeks and would like to avoid any further disappointment.

Customers are welcome to give us a call in the morning in case we have any last-minute cancellations, or alternatively to book for future Sundays (highly recommended).

You can still join in the fun tomorrow with music from Andy Lawrence, starting at 4pm, or on Monday for a set from Joe & Debbie.

*** THIS WEEKEND ***

Please note that we are closed tomorrow until 4.30pm, for Ger's funeral. Afterwards you are welcome to come along and celebrate the great man's life. Our kitchen is closed for the day but there'll be a buffet available. We'll be doing karaoke from 8.30 and singing some of Ger's favourites in his honour.

On Saturday the kitchen's open from midday until 3pm- Abbie will be celebrating her 21st and all are welcome to come and celebrate with her. We have music from Keepsake Lily starting at 5.30pm, followed by more karaoke in the evening.

Normal service will be resumed on Sunday, with a set from the brilliant Andy Lawrence starting at 4pm, to follow our Sunday lunch service (12-4). Booking is a *must* for lunch, to avoid disappointment.

As it's a long weekend, we have even more musical entertainment on offer on Monday, with a 4pm set from Joe Elias and Debbie, to ease you into September. Three different acts offering so many musical genres over the weekend- there's something for everyone. See you shortly x

🍺🕺🎤🍷 This weekend at the Sportsman! 🍷🎤🕺🍺

Come one, come all for another packed weekend of events.

🤔🤔🤔 Friday night is Quiz night. A fun, free to enter quiz with rounds to suit all specialities. From 8.30pm- last food orders at 6.45pm. Prebooking highly recommended. 🤔🤔🤔

On Saturday we have twice the fun on offer. Kicking off with a fantastic set from Marilyn Sky, singing all your favourite rock, pop, jazz, soul and country favourites from 6.00pm, followed by karaoke from 8.30pm to round your evening off in style. Join Anne and friends in raising a glass to the much-loved and much-missed Ger Anthony Mulrooney on what would have been his birthday weekend- silly t-shirts optional but appreciated.

Our kitchen is open from midday to 6pm on Saturday, offering pub classics from our regular menu, so why not make an evening of it, enjoy some great food and music before grabbing the mic and showcasing your vocal skills?

Our Sunday entertainment comes courtesy of Three Shades of Grey, making a welcome return to the Sportsman and performing rock classics from the Eagles and Springsteen to Fleetwood Mac, with plenty in between. Why not enjoy lunch first? Choose from a traditional roast, a generous salad, Ploughman's or charcuterie platter, all served from midday to 4pm. The music starts at 4pm- booking is a must for those who want to eat, to avoid disappointment, and we're expecting a great crowd for the band too.

🌞🌞🌞 Your weekend at the Sportsman 🌞🌞🌞

Pop in today for food, with our full menu available from 12-6, or simply for a drink and a catch-up with friends. From 8.30 tonight we have karaoke- we have a new, improved system with over 80,000 songs across all genres, so bring along those pipes and show us what you've got!

Tomorrow sees the return of our fabulous roasts, served from 12-4. If you're still feeling the Summer heat, fear not- we have a lovely selection of salads, sharing platters and Ploughman's as alternatives.

Followed by a set in our garden from the brilliant JoJo, kicking off at 4pm. Come along and share the relaxed vibe 🌞
