The Hand and Trumpet is a decent sized pub, seating about 150, with classic old floors, rugs, open fires, books and old furniture. There’s a sizeable garden with a large pond, and we’ve built a deck out over the rear of the pub which overlooks the grounds.

There are few things we enjoy more than a good excuse to fill the pub with cake… especially when it’s for such a brilliant cause. 💚☕🍰

Our **Macmillan Coffee Morning** is back on **Saturday 26th September**, and if last year is anything to go by, there should be a fairly ridiculous amount of homemade cake waiting for you!

We’ll be getting everything out from **11am**, so come and join us for a coffee, pick your way through the cake table, have a catch-up and help us raise as much as we can for **Macmillan Cancer Support**.

Whether you stay for one cuppa or somehow find yourself conducting a thorough comparison of three different cakes (purely for charity, obviously), we’d love to see you. 💚

Following the success of our Spanish Tapas Night, we’re heading to Italy for our next evening of food, w**e and good company.

Join us on Friday 2nd October for four Italian-inspired courses, each accompanied by a carefully selected drink—from an Aperol Spritz and mushroom arancini through to Marsala with tiramisu and cannoli.

Hosted by Marc, it’ll be a relaxed journey through some wonderful Italian flavours—with plenty to enjoy and definitely no exam at the end!
