Flossie aka Man Cat, Fat cat or Maney.

Flossie passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday night, after a very short illness.

17 years ago Martin Pearce brought home a little black and white kitten, who we named Flossie (we were told it was a little female 😂) After a trip to the vets for her injections, we were told she was infact a he.

He would become the pub cat, up until we moved to Ludlow.

Many times a game of pool would be stopped when he would go to sleep on the pool table or go to sleep on someones coat while they were having their meal.

Sometimes it was hard to serve when he decided to sit on the bar.
He loved it when children would play with him and when he had enough he would just walk off 🤣

We had one complaint about him. He was going into some ones house and eating their cats food, so no wonder he was getting fat!

He enjoyed his retirement, once he moved into Ludlow and we are going to miss him terribly.

Looking through my archives to find this today... it is true that the sun inn is a place that is engrained into your soul at an early age, if you havent grown up there and not done a barmaid stint then what where you even doing with your life. My mum and dads wedding meal in the sun inn dining room, norman will tell you that I was a right little madam at this age.... ignore him he likes to tell tall tales 🤣😅 ~ megan
