Parking info/ map - 4x4s get dirty in the field (it actually shouldn’t really be dirty it’s fingers crossed pretty Ok out there so yeah.

Anyhow - Just to clarify: NO ticket is needed for Guy Fawkes, the bonfire or the fireworks on Thursday. The restaurant is open as usual, and there’ll be Yorkshire pudding wraps out front.

We’ve also just dropped Pub Classics Thursday and Steak Saturday, because why not.

Bring your friends. Bring your enemies and toss them into the flames (don’t actually). Bring ear defenders, a generally positive disposition and a thirst for a refreshing beverage.

Come and burn the evidence. Come for the flames and the noise, then settle by the embers with an English ale and let the world slow down for a wee minute.

Those amongst you who have had a look around the restaurant walls may have seen this photograph. The photo taken in 1912 is of the Roff family who used to live in the Peacock. The legend has it that terrible misfortune befalls the building if it is not presented on one of its walls. The image has been known to relocate itself around the pub without any staff or people living in it moving it.The eldest in the image William Roff is also said to haunt the bar area of the pub, frequently sighted by drinkers walking through the fireplace flames and vanishing. Many a strange thing has happened within these walls stretching back 700 years.This Halloween, dress the part, sit in the bar area, have a drink and maybe, just maybe you may see something out the corner of your eye flicker away into the fames.

Come wearing Halloween attire this Saturday - sweeties and goodies at the bar. Be there or be scared. 👻

We’ve purchased controlled explosives and will be setting them off in commemoration of a man who failed to do so under a building full of politicians. If anybody knows any pagan/wickerman style musicians please throw them our way.

Let us hark back to our Druidic roots over a pint of real Ale and get lost in the eternal flames.

Join us at the Peacock to burn the evidence this year for bonfire night. 🔥📚

Serving [REDACTED] l***r and ale from [REDACTED] brewery. Yorkshire pudding wraps and a large heated marquee.

Big beautiful explosives will be there. Perhaps even the biggest at the 👐 greatest pub in Glassenbury. We’re gonna have a blast.

Parking in pub and field for the more capable vehicles. Share rides, save fuel, bring a sparkler and drink a sparkly drink, or a dark one, embrace anarchy at the Peacock.

What an absolute blast. Thank you to all who ventured out amidst a yellow weather warning for what has definitely been one of the most memorable few evenings at the pub since we’ve taken it on.

West Kent Big Band last night. What an absolute treat it was to have them. 🎷🔥
