I do want to take this moment to let you all in on a little story. Last night I was privy to a conversation where I understand there’s a small biteen of a rumour circulating, that The Craven Street Club doesn’t have SIA trained and certified door staff on the premises. Now I had to take a moment to laugh when I heard this from none other than a landlord of a different venue.
Anyone who comes in to the club knows that Rob our head doorman has been on the doors in Coventry for 47 years! And is known by everyone all over the city, you’d also know that very recently Rob received a national award recognising his many decades of service in the industry. Rob is the face that everyone sees as they walk in and is part and parcel of what we do here. As we expanded our garden area in the last 24 months we have also brought in two other amazing lads, Mark and Steve who between them have a wealth of experience and knowledge doing the doors for a combined 45 years. Furthermore, I myself, (The Craven Cowboy) am also SIA Trained and have been for 7 years and my badge is on display even when on stage.
Between us all we make sure that everyone who comes through our door is looked after, treated with respect and kindness, and we make sure that anyone who misbehaves is removed the correct way. You know our one rule- Be Good Or Be Gone.
