THE OLD CLARENCE

It is with great disappointment that, due to receiving a second noise complaint within the last two months, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all future live entertainment.

Unfortunately, I can't risk the premises licence, so tonight's acoustic duo performance has also been cancelled. 😭

It's heartbreaking that a few complaints about live music can have such a big impact. Independent pubs are already facing rising costs, and losing live entertainment makes it even harder for locals to survive.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our live music nights and our pub. We truly appreciate every one of you and hope you continue to support your local.

Starting monday 3rd August we have some summer deals. These prices only last till school holidays end around the 3rd September come enjoy the sun beer cider in the garden

⚠️attention all⚠️

With the sad news of 3 local pubs closing. Within weeks we here at New Old Clarence just want to take this moment. To wish all the publicans and there family's the best of luck on there future endeavours and our hearts go out to all the staff now jobless through no one's fault really as the publican like my self so everything in our power to keep going

We in these times of hardship at all costs keep ploughing what ever little we have into our establishments as last thing we want is to make team members jobless homeless...

But with the rising costs. And the lack of help and support from our AMAZING government it is inevitable.

We are now on average 2 pubs a day closing now and that's more families and more staff and more regulars loosing there establishments homes and jobs.

So we here at the old Clarence just want to take this moment and THANK each and every one of you regulars new and old for all the return and new custom you bring us and helping keeping our establishment going we will always do what we can to keep the lights on beer cold and flowing just like you have always come in every day to drink with us
