Please sign, we need something to happen before more pubs disappear!

The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

Anyway, on a happier note, it's gardening day!!

My amazing wife Carolyne Taylor and my awesome Mother-in-Law are in nice and early planting this years summer plants.

Plenty of colour already, but there will be so much more in a few weeks (I'll post more pictures at some point)

Another nail in the coffin for the pub industry! How many times can we be kicked when already down!!

A Nice Pub Tax!! WTAF! So we work our arses of to make sure we have great pubs for people to visit, offer great food/drinks, might have a nice view etc etc, so we then have to pay more Business Rates.

So much for reducing our bills and supporting small businesses!! When they're gone, they're gone!!

We've had a lovely weekend so far, nice people, lots of laughter, the Colchester Gladiators American Football Club won yesterday & we had great music from this is sophie’s, Tyler Baker (Gasoline Green) & Dean Frost
