We've welcomed quite a few new followers recently, so we thought it was about time we re- introduced ourselves and told you a little more about Storyteller!

For those who don't know us, we're a family-owned, independent private party and events venue in the heart of Cheltenham, with nearly 30 years of experience helping people celebrate life's special moments.

From milestone birthdays and wedding receptions to Christmas parties, corporate events, summer BBQs and everything in between, we love bringing people together and helping create celebrations to remember.

A little about our venue...
We have two beautiful private hire spaces, including our light-filled conservatory and garden, and our newly added Cocktail Lounge, complete with its own private bar. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, we can accommodate parties of 15 to 160 guests.

Food, drinks and flexibility...
One of the elements that makes Storyteller a little different is our flexible approach. You can choose from delicious food prepared by our in-house chef or simply hire the space and arrange your own catering. We believe your party should be exactly how YOU want it!

We're a small, friendly team who genuinely love what we do. We pride ourselves on offering a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, great food and drink, and a personal approach to every event.

What’s new in 2026…
This year, Storyteller has refurbished a brand-new space for you to enjoy.
Every care has been taken to make sure the space is relaxing, the cocktails are beautifully balanced, the w**e list tried and tested, and our offering of food complimentary to the drinks and environment.

Looking for a place to relax and unwind this week in Cheltenham? Perhaps a date night or a catch-up with friends and family, somewhere relaxed and cosy, with delicious cocktails and tempting small plates. Usually, our new cocktail bar is open Thursday to Saturday, but this week we are opening the doors on Wednesday from 6 pm. Christmas party for 35 people or 160? We can do both.

One thing people don’t always realise about Christmas parties at Storyteller is that you don’t have to fill our main venue to have it to yourselves.

If you’re organising something smaller, our new Cocktail Lounge can be hired privately for up to 35 guests.

You get your own entrance, your own private bar and the whole space exclusively for your group.

Perfect for a smaller office Christmas party, family get-together or a group of friends who want something a little more private.

Got a bigger Christmas party to organise?

Our main Conservatory & Garden holds up to 120 guests, with its own bar, room for dining, music and dancing.

Or take over both spaces and we can cater for events up to 160 guests.

Food is prepared here by our own chefs, with both sit-down and buffet options available. You can use our sound system for your own playlist, bring in a DJ or live entertainment, and we’ll work with you on the layout and timings.

We’ve been hosting Christmas parties in Cheltenham for nearly 30 years, so while the Cocktail Lounge might be new, this part isn’t.
Some of the key December dates have already gone.

We’ll let you know what’s available and which space would work best, and even book you in for a viewing.

The doors are officially open—and your table at Storyteller’s cocktail lounge is waiting!

Thank you to everyone who’s helped us settle in over the past few weeks. We’re now excited to welcome even more of you for relaxed evenings, beautifully crafted cocktails, and a glass of w**e in our intimate, chilled-out bar.

Walk-ins are welcome, but tables are limited. We have availability this Thursday and Friday, while Saturday is fully booked, so book now to avoid missing out.

We’re open from 6pm to 11pm. Message us today to reserve your table, or pop in and see us.

Four tables left. One final week of our soft launch.

If you’ve been meaning to come and try Storyteller’s new cocktail lounge, this is your nudge to get a date in the diary.

We’ve loved seeing familiar faces back through the door and meeting so many new ones. Your feedback has helped us tweak the cocktails along the way, and we’d love a few more of you to join us before we open for walk ins.

Bring your partner, catch up with a friend or get a few of you together for cocktails. We’re still booking only this week, so message us with your preferred evening and number of guests to reserve your table.

We’re opening up both the Cocktail Lounge and Conservatory for our biggest night of the soft launch so far!

It’s been lovely seeing Storyteller buzzing over the past few weeks, and we’re looking forward to having both spaces full of you.
