At Copper Rivet Distillery we are realising a long held family dream to create a leading craft distillery making the highest quality Gin, Whisky and Vodka in the heart of Kent. We're a local family so Pump House No. 5, just across the water from the amazing Upnor Castle, is perfect location. And the building's size, height and ventilation makes it a perfect site for a distillery. We’re truly insp

ired by the spirit of the Dockyard - once the largest industrial complex on earth, home to Francis Drake, Nelson and the birth place of HMS Victory and the Resolute Desk in the White House's Oval Office. Yes, it's heritage is incredible, as is the craftsmanship, the innovation, the inventiveness and the constant evolution of the place. The Copper Rivet Distillery team has an obsessive attention to the detail of what it takes to produce the highest quality spirit drinks possible. This has led us to insist that Copper Rivet Distillery will be one of only a few craft distilleries in the entire UK which runs the whole distillation process from the farmer’s field to the barrel; to source local raw ingredients wherever possible; and to design our own stills and have them fabricated in Chatham using local craftsmen. To our knowledge, Copper Rivet Distillery will be the only craft distillery within more than 100 miles radius where visitors will be able come and see the entire production process end-to-end, meet the founding team to hear all about it and to hear their plans, perhaps experiment in the laboratory and of course taste delicious, home grown, Kentish craft spirits. We aim to be open in the early spring next year. Get in touch and come and see us.
