Rebecca Clare Douglas and Richard Moss are two outstanding folk musicians of the highest calibre. They perform traditional and original folk music based on the history and landscape of the North. They are not to be missed.

Clare is a classically trained violinist with a love for traditional music, whilst Richard is a skilled guitarist with a warm singing voice. Clare and Richard weave their talents together to create a sound rich in both technical mastery and genuine emotion, enchanting audiences with their artistry.

They met whilst performing with Mike Harding. They discovered a shared musical connection that blossomed into a unique artistic partnership. Steeped in the rich folk tradition the duo weave a captivating blend of both traditional and original tunes and songs.

They last played at the Clubhouse in October 2024.

Nick Hennessy - Internationally Acclaimed Storyteller

On the Sunday before Christmas, an afternoon show with Nick Hennessey, one of the country's leading storytellers. He has performed at venues such as the South Bank, Barbican, Royal Albert Hall and festivals worldwide, He has broadcast on Radio 4 and his music played on Radio 3. Nick has a particular interest in the story telling tradition of Finland. He will take you to the snow filled forests of the Far North, the darkness of the winter night and the warmth of the winter fire, travelling by song, story and music.

Nick gave a magical heart warming performance in the Sailing Club last Christmas. We are lucky to have one of the country’s leading storytellers performing in the Sailing Club again, this Christmas. His show is suitable for adults, families, teenagers and children.
