Our venue has changed, but the party is still going ahead at the same time, 3pm–5pm!

📍 New venue: Carlton WI Hall, Carlton

The children will still be getting their Halloween snacks during the party.

Food tables will be available at the pub after the party, so why not join us for something to eat! 🍽️

☕ Takeaway coffee and cold drinks will be available from the pub before, during and after the party, so you can still pop in and grab a drink!

Due to the damage to our marquee during last weekend’s storm, we’ve had to make a little change of plans!

But don’t worry… THE PARTY IS STILL ON! 🥳🎉

📍 NEW VENUE: The WI Hall – just up the road from the pub!

🕒 TODAY | 3PM–5PM

🍻 Please feel free to pop into the pub, grab yourself a drink and bring it up to the WI with you!

We’re so grateful we’ve been able to find somewhere to keep the Halloween fun going, despite the weekend’s disaster! 🧡

💔 Another one bites the dust…

As they say..’When it rains, it pours’… 🙃🙃🙃

We know this isn’t the first marquee we’ve lost to a storm, but it certainly doesn’t make it any easier to see it down on the ground like that.

This marquee has stood strong through every storm since June 2024, but unfortunately last night’s weather was just too much for it.

🎃We knew the storm was coming, but with our Halloween party planned for next weekend, we’d ordered a heater to keep everyone nice and warm, with the intention of dismantling the marquee for winter straight afterwards. Just one more week was all we needed! 😩 we’d strapped it down as much as possible but the storm had other plans!

It’s a particularly bitter pill to swallow, especially after spending £1,300 on brand-new covers back in July.

And to be completely honest, the timing couldn’t be worse. We’ve just had our quietest October in the seven years we’ve been here, and like many small independent businesses, things are tough enough without unexpected setbacks like this.

We put so much time, money and hard work into keeping our little village pub going, so this happening this morning is pretty gutting.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we can salvage most of it and get it back up and running without too much expense. 🤞

But don’t worry, our Halloween party WILL still be going ahead next Saturday! 🎃👻 We might have to change the plans slightly, but we won’t let a collapsed marquee spoil the fun!

Anyway, onwards and upwards… because what else can you do?! ❤️

Here’s hoping November is a little kinder to us!

OH.. and Sunday lunches are only £12 again today!🥕
