The big Halloween 🎃 Games and Quiz night is almost upon us on the Saturday 31st (The Big Night almost as big as Christmas 👻) see poster below for the line up of the evening, supporting a fabulous local Charity Blood Brothers.
Hosted by us and the fab Quiz master Sallie 🎃

I do need your help if anyone would like to kindly donate a raffle prize to our evening please get in touch or drop off at the pub. The bigger the better and of course appreciate any help

Our very first steak night this Saturday Really looking forward to welcoming John Cowen from pioneer Food service an expert in all things steak to give us a chat about the dry age, cuts and process to our local steaks. 🥩

Fantastic menu and fantastic Wines 🍷

3 courses starting with, a starter to represent slow and low cooking with beef, then your chosen steak all cooked to your liking by Louise served with fantastic grill garnish and of course homemade chips!!
Topped of with a homemade sticky toffee pudding with Lakes ice cream and toffee sauce!!
Sounds like a great Saturday night xx

🎃👻 IT’S MY FAVOURITE TIME OF YEAR AT THE ROYAL OAK! 🕷️🖤

HORRAY it’s Halloween, and this year we’re going all out!
The pub is dressed in its spooky best, the cobwebs are up and we’ve got a fantastic October lined up full of food, fun, laughter and a little Royal Oak madness! 💀🍻

🧙‍♀️ WHAT’S ON THIS OCTOBER…

🎃 Saturday 17th – Royal Oak Quiz Night
A good old-fashioned quiz with half-time supper included! £10pp.

🥩 Saturday 24th – Right Royal Steak Night our very first 🫶
A fantastic evening with John Cowen from Pioneer Foods. Learn about the beef, pick your steak and I’ll cook it for you!
Three courses for £45pp.

🎃 Thursday 29th – Family Pumpkin Carving
A lovely evening of spooky fun for the little ones, raising money for Cash for Kids.

👻 Saturday 31st – Our BIG Halloween Party!
Games, quiz, fancy dress, monster burgers, prizes and plenty of laughs! £20pp including food and a donation to our wonderful Blood Buddies charity. Party on until late! 🦇

❤️ What a success our very first Scotby Connects was! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our first get together, it was a fab evening!

It was great to see people chatting who might never normally have a conversation, sharing ideas, making connections and simply enjoying each other’s company. Exactly what I’d hoped for! 🥰

Our Scotby Connects board is still up at the Royal Oak, so please feel free to pop in and add your ideas, offers of help or anything you’d like to share.

And remember, you don’t need to own a business, volunteer or have anything to offer to be part of this. Just turning up, having a chat and being part of our community is more than enough. ❤️

I’ll also be setting up a Scotby Connects WhatsApp group very soon, so we can keep sharing ideas, helping each other and staying connected. If you’d like to be part of it, just drop me a message or pop into the pub and add your details to the list.
The feedback has been fantastic and I really feel like this is the start of something special for Scotby. Who knows what we might achieve together!

Our next get together will be after Christmas, so watch this space!
