We're really pleased to share that Greenlane has a review score of 9.6 out of 10 on carehome.co.uk this October! 💛

A big thank you to all the residents, families and friends who've taken the time to leave us a review. Here's one of our recent ones:

"Mam has now been in Greenlane over 2 years, and even today when I told her we were filling out this review she said 'you must say how lovely it is here', so to me that sums Greenlane up. Mam is so happy and content, and it is so reassuring to know she is safe and so very well looked after." – Daughter of a resident.

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

At Greenlane, we're taking a moment to recognise Breast Cancer Awareness Month and show our support for everyone affected by breast cancer.

It's an opportunity to raise awareness, encourage conversations about health, and remember the importance of early detection and regular screening.

Our thoughts are with those currently undergoing treatment, those who have recovered, and the families and friends supporting them every step of the way. 💗

🎵💛 Music For Health – What a Fantastic Morning!

We had an absolutely brilliant session with James today — the lounge was full of music, movement and so many happy faces! 😄🎶

Residents were shaking pom poms, ringing bells, singing along and getting stuck into James’ fun quiz 💛🔔🎉

And the best part… so many residents joined in AND even family members came along too! 👨‍👩‍👧✨
It was wonderful seeing everyone enjoying the rhythm, laughter and togetherness.

A truly joyful morning at Greenlane — full of energy, smiles and community spirit 💛🌟

🕰️📚 A Fantastic Morning with Historian Tony!

Today we enjoyed our fantastic monthly visit from Tony, our brilliant historian 🤩✨
What a wealth of knowledge he is!

He brought along old coins 🪙 and we had great fun using our magnifying glass 🔍 to take a closer look.
We chatted about the cost of b**r back in the day 🍺😄 and explored photos of old Carlisle 🖼️ — sparking memories, stories and plenty of smiles.

It truly was a wonderful morning to reminisce together 💛✨

🧠 Wordy Thursday at Greenlane!

We’ve got our brain boxes buzzing this morning 🤓💡
Today’s word was INTERCOMMUNICATION… wowza, what a mouthful! 😅🗣️

Our residents managed to find an astounding 127 words hidden inside it! 🎉👏
So much thinking, chatting and communicating was done — the table was full of teamwork and giggles 💬💛

We then moved on to our beloved Daily Sparkle ✨
Always full of points of interest!
From the west coast of Scotland 🏴🌊 and childhood holidays, to Humphrey Bogart 🎬, sneaky childhood ci******es 🚬 (and how it’s definitely frowned upon now!), all the way to Alex Ferguson and football memories ⚽️🔥

A morning full of stories, smiles and shared memories 💛😊
