The Oak has links to Cardiff's most famous fighter, "Peerless" Jim Driscoll - there's a statue of him in the

city centre and his funeral, in 1925, was said to the largest in Welsh history with around 100,000 people lining the streets of the capital. The Oak has also won renown as a music venue, and that's still very much part of the picture, hosting a myriad of Artists and on the last Saturday of every month Broadcasts 'LIVE' over the internet to the World.
