After last night’s Evening of Opera at St Augustine’s Abbey next up for the Horse-Box Bar will be an appearance at the Rough Common Summer Fete THIS SATURDAY 11th June 11:00 to 15:00 on the playing fields behind the village hall.

Just reflecting on another successful Jolly Sailor Little Horse-box Bar outing recently at the Canterbury Eagles family end of season awards day.

Thanks for Tony Payne for inviting us. We had a great day helping all the young players and their families celebrate another successful season of football.

Well what a first day of the season for our Horse Box Bar offering yesterday at Dane John Gardens for the Folk section of Canterbury unlocked. The weather was scorching and our beers were ice cold - perfect.

Huge thank you to and for including us there last min when our usual high street area wasn’t quite finished. We are looking forward to showcasing for you the newly named St Mary Bredman Square outside former Nasons when we return at Christmas. Next up for the crew is Pride on 6th June!

Join us this Sunday 24th May 11:00 to 19:00 in Dane John Gardens in the market area at the Folk Lore Kent’s Mayhem Fair - part of the citywide event.

Come and see our Horse Box Bar in action as we bang out some cold beers and ciders alongside some great traders offering street food and craft stalls. All of this whilst enjoying some local Folk Music and enjoying the newly finished Dane John Gardens.

A new addition to The Jolly Sailor Fleet - our fully kitted out Horse Box Bar!

Lovingly converted by big Tom from our crew, this is the perfect way for getting a little bit of The Jolly Sailor into your event, party, corporate do or as the VIP back stage bar for other event organisers out there.

Full pub level pumps and chillers, we can have 4 taps on with products of your choice, plus large back bar with under fridge’s - this really is a little pub on wheels.

As we sit planning out our events for 2026 a throwback of thanks to our amazing crew who smashed it at Oktoberfest Canterbury 2025. Every one of them worked their butts off with a smile on their face and many laughs along the way so that everyone attending had a great time. Special nod to the senior team for stepping up to plug a Captain sized hole - legends.
