The Wilsey Down Public House is a Free House with Real Ales and the hub of the local community. Benefitting from two bars; a lounge bar and public bar; plus a lounge dining area, two dining rooms and a cafe/bistro style room, The Wilsey Down Pub is a great venue for birthday celebrations, family re-unions, wakes, harvest festivals etc. The Wilsey hosts numerous social activities throughout the year uniting the local community including Young Farmers and all those living within a wide radius of the pub. On Thursdays, the local livestock market attracts hundreds of farmers from all over the region and afar, who benefit from The Wilsey Down Pub being close by and providing the cafe/bistro for dinner and a warm and comfortable space to catch up with farming friends. Endlessly popular during the holiday season with visitors to the area, it is always wise to book ahead to dine at The Wilsey Down pub. Even out of season the Sunday carvery is very popular with locals so to avoid disappointment it really is advisable to call ahead to book a table. If you feel like treating yourself to afternoon tea, our cream teas are among the best in the area, so why not give us a try? If you are new to the area, you will be assured a friendly welcome and if you are any good at darts or pool, we have pub teams for both sports.
