We don’t want any political division regarding this as we should all respect each others opinions however this short video is something I feel the public need to see and share as it affects EVERY pub, it doesn’t mater which pub is your local we are all in the same boat. This is not a sustainable financial situation and you will loose more pubs in the coming years and like I said it doesn’t matter which party you support this needs to be addressed before it’s too late!
A few quick facts about hospitalities contributions to the economy.
- £69.5bn-£96bn tax revenue (which is 2.8%-4% GDP)
- 2.6-3.5million people employed (7%-10% of the UK workforce)
- £22bn estimated in exports
-99% are small to medium sized businesses
-hospitality venues closing at a net rate of 81 a month in the uk (imagine the tax revenue and employment losses)
