We take pride in our service, staff and home to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, whether it be the Friday night locals coming in or the many tourists we have visiting the peak district every season. This traditional pub offers tasty bar snacks as well as more generous portions of home-cooked food. If you're a fan of traditional ales, we have a range of bitters from local breweries such
as Peak Ales, Hartington and Wincle, as well as Little Critters, Bradfield and Church End. Dogs are more than welcome in the bar, the snug and the pool room as well as in our large beer garden to the rear of the pub (which looks over the village's play area for the children). There's always something going on at this charming little pub in the peak district, including a weekly quiz on a Thursday night which sees all the locals from the village coming down in a fight for next week quiz-master title. Come down if you're up for the challenge! (Quiz starts around 9.30pm every Thursday night)
