🍾 WE’RE FINALISTS! 🍾

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that The Wine Cellar BSE has been named a finalist in the Norfolk & Suffolk Magazine Food & Drink Awards 2026 — Pub/Bar of the Year! 🥂

To be recognised alongside some of the brilliant pubs, bars and hospitality businesses across Norfolk & Suffolk is a huge honour — and one we’re incredibly proud of.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us, visited us, shared a bottle (or two!) with us, recommended us, left a review or simply helped make The Wine Cellar what it is. ❤️

The category is proudly sponsored by Fianna, and we’ll be heading to The Assembly House in Norwich on Monday 14th September for the awards ceremony.

🍷 WE’RE AT THE BURY ST EDMUNDS FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL! 🍷

Bank Holiday weekend is nearly here — and we’re getting involved! 🎉

📅 Sunday 30th & Monday 31st August

You’ll find The Wine Cellar right next to the Stoves Cookery Theatre on the Cornhill, where we’ll have our stall pouring and selling wines for you to enjoy as you explore the festival. 🍾🥂

And for one weekend only, we’re breaking our usual Sunday & Monday opening routine…

🏠 The Wine Cellar will be OPEN both days!

Even better — bring your festival food into the Cellar and enjoy it with a glass of wine. 🍕🍷

Then on Monday at 2pm, Brad will be heading onto the Stoves Cookery Theatre stage for a wine demo:

🌎🍇 Around the World in One Grape

A 22,000-mile journey exploring how the same grape can taste completely different depending on where in the world it’s grown. Expect wine, stories, a few surprises and, hopefully, some useful wine knowledge along the way! Samples will be available of course 😉

So whether you’re visiting the festival, grabbing some food, watching the cookery demos or simply looking for a good glass of wine…

🥂 WE’RE FINALISTS! 🥂

Two years ago, in 2024, we were absolutely thrilled to win the Customer Service Award at the Bury Free Press Business Awards. 🏆

Fast forward to 2026… and we’re delighted to announce that The Wine Cellar BSE is a finalist once again in the Customer Service category! 🎉

To be recognised for something that means so much to us is a huge honour. We’ve always believed that great wine is only part of what we do — it’s the people, the welcome, the atmosphere and the experience that make The Wine Cellar what it is.

A massive thank you to our incredible team for everything they do, and of course to every single one of our customers who continues to support us, recommend us and walk through our doors. ❤️

We’ll be heading to the awards ceremony on 9th October, where we can’t wait to meet all of the other fantastic finalists and celebrate the very best of West Suffolk.

✨ An Evening with Giffords Hall Vineyard 🍷🇬🇧

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Giffords Hall Vineyard and their talented winemaker Viktoriia Kolesnyk to The Wine Cellar BSE on Friday 14th August for a very special evening celebrating English wine.

You’ll enjoy a guided tasting of six exceptional Giffords Hall wines, as Viktoriia shares the story behind the vineyard, the winemaking process and what makes Suffolk such a special place to produce world-class wines.

To complement the wines, we’ll be serving our delicious English charcuterie boards, carefully selected to showcase some of the very best local produce.

Whether you’re a long-time lover of English wine or looking to discover something new, this promises to be a relaxed, informative and thoroughly enjoyable evening.
