After 12 incredible years at Preston Park Tavern, it is time to say goodbye to our kitchen team.

We would like to thank Simon Duncan and Ben Welfare for everything they have contributed to the pub and our Fiveways community over the years. Between them they have dedicated an incredible 22 years of service to PPT, with Simon being with us from day one 12 years ago, and Ben for the last 10 years.

They have been an absolute pleasure to work with and have helped create countless memorable meals, celebrations and Sunday roasts that have become a much-loved part of the Preston Park Tavern experience.

The hospitality industry has faced many challenges in recent years. Rising food costs, increasing operating expenses and changing customer habits have made it increasingly difficult to maintain the standards and experience that our loyal customers have come to expect whilst working across two kitchens.

Simon and Ben have decided to focus on one kitchen and will continue their journey together at the Sussex cricketer in Hove, where they have also been working for the past two years. We wish them every success for the future.

Their final service at Preston Park Tavern will be on Sunday 19th July.

From all of us at Preston Park Tavern, thank you not only to Simon and Ben, but also a special thank you to Blake, Joe Butcher, Henry, Dan and all the chefs, kitchen porters and suppliers who have been part of The Preston Park Tavern over the years. Your hard work, commitment and friendship have played a huge role in making Preston Park Tavern what it is today.
Please join us in wishing them all the very best for the future. ❤️
