• Serving Bridgend since 2014 But just a heads up… We operate table service and we don’t accept cash.

Welcome to Nolton Corner, a gin bar in the heart of Bridgend, South Wales with our very own in-house gin distillery… Bont Gin. Our copper still is on display for all to see, and as well as Bont, we carry an extensive range of gins from around the globe, all of which we can happily recommend a suitable tonic to pair with. We like to think of ourselves as the lovechild of a raw prohibition speakeasy fused with a stylish gin society, where our walls are exposed just like our vibes, so climb our stairs on Nolton Street and we’ll make it worth your while. Card is king!

Please read.
Hospitality is one of the UK's largest employers, supporting millions of jobs and helping keep our cities, towns and villages vibrant. Across our venues in Bridgend, Cowbridge and Ogmore-by-Sea, we're proud to invest in people, buildings and communities. The Coach, Nolton Corner 1 Town Hall Square, The Cross Inn, The Tusker Rock.
•
Yet hospitality continues to face unprecedented cost pressures while operating under one of the highest VAT rates in Europe… at our 20% rate; £1 from every £6 spent in your local pub, café, restaurant or hotel goes straight to HMRC in VAT alone. By comparison, many European countries support their hospitality sectors with lower rates, including France, Spain and Italy at 10%, and Germany at 7%.
That's why we're supporting Tom Kerridge, UKHospitality and the industry's call for a reduction in hospitality VAT from 20% to 10%.

The campaign has already attracted more than 100,000 signatures and you can learn more or add your support at vatstheproblem.co.uk
