So, we seem to have a cluster of birthdays this Friday, Sam Patmore, Ronnie Knight, Alex Gardener and John Ballantyne. All welcome to join them for some drinks, music and cake from 7pm 🎶🎂🍺🍷🥂

Then on Saturday it's bingo time again with John Barker, big cash prizes, raffle and great fun! Eyes down at 8pm.

So we have been a bit quieter through August but join us on Saturday 5 September for the legend that is John Barker for his fabulous bingo night, cash prizes to be won, 8.00 pm start.
There are plenty more things planned, including live music, darts competitions, another Danaher quiz, open mic nights and karaoke, so keep an eye on Facebook for details.
Even though we are not at the end of summer yet, it's time to save the date for the Wethersfield Big Switch On, Saturday 28 November, 4-7pm in the Village Hall, followed by Take Cover at the Club in the evening. Always a great night for the village so make a note in your diary!

We had our first Darts Competition at The Club yesterday, 35 players over 5 boards.

Well Done to Alfie Mark who won it beating Daniel Gilroy and the 2 semi Finalists were Nick Walker and Michael Hancocks.

Thank you to Netty for running a great competition and to everyone that came and played.

Next Comps are 19th September and 7th November. Look out for more details.

No dog ever died from missing one walk ⚠️

With highs of 31 degrees expected this week, it's vital to make these checks before walking your dog.

If the pavement is too hot for your hand for five seconds, it's definitely too hot for paws. While the weather is hot, opt for walks at dusk and dawn to avoid burnt paw pads and heatstroke.

And remember. If in doubt, don't go out.

That was some game again, not sure the nerves can stand much more! Thanks to all who came down, it was a great atmosphere!
On to Wednesday, Club open at 5.00 pm, and kick off is at 8.00pm. The bar offer will run again from whistle to whistle.
Come and cheer on the boys!

As a result of the football match, the Wethersfield Round Robin Darts League will now play on the Thursday, 16th July, usual time, and the Open Mic Night planned for the Thursday will now take place on Thursday 30 July, 7.30 pm.
