Please be aware that due to a funeral tomorrow (Tuesday 19th May) the car park at The Shoulder will be not be available for general parking or for school employees all day.
Parents on drop-off and pick-up are still welcome to use the car park as usual but nothing longer than 20 minutes please.
Those attending the funeral are asked to park considerately to allow as many cars as possible to use the space.
We appreciate your understanding.

We would like all our customers to be aware of the following:
On Saturday 9th May the pub will be closed until 6pm due to a fundraising memorial (kitchen closed all day)
On Saturday 16th May the pub will be closed from 6.30pm due to a private function.
On Sunday 17th May the kitchen will be doing the first food sitting only (12.30pm) due to another fundraising event in the afternoon. (Bar open as usual)

A family have just cancelled their table for Easter Sunday as their plans have changed and they will no longer be in the area.
This frees up space for up to six covers for the 3pm sitting so if you fancy it give us a ring. First come, first served x

It’s been a big day for the team at The Shoulder, Mothering Sunday always is!
Saturday was spent preparing for close on 100 covers and the additional work that welcoming so many guests involves.
Today a team comprising one cook, one barman, one pot washer, two waitresses and one KP turned out in excess of one hundred 2 or 3 course meals, over two sittings. Every table full, every meal worthy of praise. “The best Sunday lunch in the Hope Valley“ was how several groups described it!
I am blessed to have an amazing team who barely turn a hair when the boss drops a clanger and they have to juggle seats for an extra 8 guests!!
Thank you doesn’t even come close guys but I am extremely grateful for all your hard work! 💕💕💕💕
