😍🔥😍

This evening I had the absolute pleasure of being a guest of N’Faly Kouyaté and his band. They did not disappoint. Playing in an intimate venue to a small audience of 40 (the room was packed), he was at his very best, playing songs from his new album "Finishing".

The venue was The Queens Head in Box, just around the corner from Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios. It's run by a gentleman called Dean, who is passionate about live music, and it shows with the effort he has made in turning his back room into a rather brilliant small music venue.

Over the next week or so they are all over the place, with Port Issac later this evening, before moving onto Porthotowan, Stroud, Exeter, Portsmouth, Leicester, Rainham, Shoreham, ending in London on the 23rd. All being well I will be catching up with them next week in Portsmouth. Perhaps I'll see you there?

Oh, about the photo, it is not often you can fill the frame with the main performer when using a wide 8mm (12mm full frame) lens, but this evening was quite special, and with N'Faly knowing me, he was happy to play up to my camera, just a bit.
