Our previous post was in response to reassure people that the posts on social media which referred to The Elephant & Castle & ourselves posted last weekend
We are also aware that there are numerous other posts on social media regarding The Swan & Barristers & quite rightly so people are asking questions as to its authenticity in relation to all the rumours especially our staff their families & friends, supporting customers, and other businesses in the area & general public who like us have genuine concerns about Bolton town centre and it’s decline.
The Swan & Barristers has not been sold or in sale negotiations with any parties
Yes it’s common knowledge it’s been on the market for sale since 2025 & is still on the market
We are a completely independent Trader so it’s not like some brewery or organisation has not told us its intentions
It is everyone’s hope that if The Swan & Barristers is purchased it would be as a going concern & continue trading as it is and retaining all staff members

Contrary to posts seen on social media platforms we would just like to confirm that The Swan & Barristers has not NOT been sold or in sale negotiations with any parties
We are a completely independent Trader so it’s not like some brewery or organisation has not told us its intentions
Our understanding regarding The Elephant & Castle is Craft Union part of stone gate group who owns the premises have got a new lease holder currently negotiating but as we are an INDEPENDENT trader not connected to any brewery or chain organisation like stone gate we cannot confirm our information is completely true regarding The Elephant & Castle but certainly hope it is
