Our previous post was in response to reassure people that the posts on social media which referred to The Elephant & Castle & ourselves posted last weekend
We are also aware that there are numerous other posts on social media regarding The Swan & Barristers & quite rightly so people are asking questions as to its authenticity in relation to all the rumours especially our staff their families & friends, supporting customers, and other businesses in the area & general public who like us have genuine concerns about Bolton town centre and it’s decline.
The Swan & Barristers has not been sold or in sale negotiations with any parties
Yes it’s common knowledge it’s been on the market for sale since 2025 & is still on the market
We are a completely independent Trader so it’s not like some brewery or organisation has not told us its intentions
It is everyone’s hope that if The Swan & Barristers is purchased it would be as a going concern & continue trading as it is and retaining all staff members
