The Cross Keys at Eastgate is an early 17th century Weardale Inn set in the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We're a family run pub and serve real ale, fine wines, and anything else you could wish for - with a big friendly smile. We're also an official stamping point on the C2C route. Unwind in the main bar or toast your toes next to the fire on a cold day after you've been walking in the local beautiful countryside. We serve local and fresh food in our bar and restaurant. If you have a four legged friend they are more than welcome in the bar with well behaved owners ;-)

If you choose to stay with us, we can offer you Bed & Breakfast in our newly refurbished rooms. Parking is ample. Whatever your need, we hope you'll visit and relax with us soon.

Our fish fry-day will no longer be available with a free pint unfortunately. As many of you will know the price of fish has gone through the roof, along with everything else.
Our price of fish has doubled in price this last 6 months.
So it is with great sadness and regret that we can no longer offer you a free pint.
We still hope to see you for your fish and chips as we havent put the price of the fish up, just taken the free pint off. Im sure lots of you will understand.

Another fantastic Sheep Show, Paul Collinson and your band of merry men and Di Bell, Claire Wearmouth , Natalie Dalton, and everyone else who helped put this fantastic show together. Our staff for working so so hard, all our loyal customers. Thank you very much to everyone involved, you are all fab and of course to MARRIANNE and her mam and dad, and of course music through out the day by our one and only Stu Robinson Max Robinson just totally grand in every way.

Unfortunately the kitchen wont be open tonight. I still feel dreadful and still cant talk, hubby is happy though, as its rather quiet 😅
