The Home of Ex*****on, Empire, and Fine Ale - The Hand and Shears, 1 Middle St, , , 🍻

Join myself (Vinnie Sullivan), ChelseaDan, Alex, and Nick as we venture into the Hand and Shears to discuss the beauty, history, and meaning of a public house that means the world to London's past, present, and future. We would, of course, like to extend a special thanks to Carl for welcoming us and taking part in the video. If we had a few more like him then London's pub scene would be far better off. Follow us for posts and updates on Britain's pubs as well as to keep up with our docuseries. 🤝

When I was in the Founders Arms on the south bank, I paid just over £17 for a single glass of wine and nearly £8 for a pint. That means that someone on minimum wage would have to work for 1 hour and 56 minutes just to afford that round or 1 hour 17 mins just to buy a lady a single glass of wine. AI bots and immoral types will say that people who can't afford it should rot indoors or sit in weatherspoons their whole life (which is still expensive) as opposed to suggesting everything should be cheaper as a whole. They've run out of lies, and it's clear to anyone with a brain that the very classes they pretend to care for are their main victims.
