For the first time, The Wellington will be running coach trips during this year’s Black Country Ales Real Ale Trail, which runs from 1 March to 31 May.

Across our 55 pubs, customers can collect 25 stamps in their Real Ale Trail Passport to receive a 2026 Real Ale Trail rugby shirt and £25 gift card.

The Wellington’s coach trips will visit a selection of Black Country Ales pubs along the route, giving customers the opportunity to collect several stamps in one day while discovering pubs across the Black Country and beyond.

Two trips are planned:

🚌 Trip 1 - Saturday 25 April
Departing The Wellington at 11am

🚌 Trip 2 - Saturday 30 May
Departing The Wellington at 11am

Tickets are £25 per person, payable in advance. Numbers are limited.

Please speak to the bar at The Wellington if you would like to reserve a place.

Real Ale Trail Passports are available at the bar.

Tuesday 10th March 2026 is the 20th Birthday of The Wellington Electronic Beer Board!

In the first year of The Wellington we sold 2610 different guest beers, having got tired of constantly changing the chalk board Nige, the gaffer, wondered if it would be possible to have an electronic version.

Step forward Dave Moorhouse, Nige’s business partner and Tech Geek! After hiding in the office for several days Dave revealed his creation on 10th March 2006.

It has been in constant use since and been copied by countless other pubs. We believe our beer board could be the first of its kind but would be interested to know of an earlier one.

Happy birthday Beer Board, you have made a lot of people happy.

Christmas is almost upon us and we will have slightly changed opening hours over the festive period. We will be open midday until 4pm on Christmas Day, and later than usual on Christmas Eve and New Year Eve. All other days will remain 10am-midnight as normal. Merry Christmas!
